ప్రకాశం జిల్లా , కందుకురుకు నైరుతి దిశలో సుమారు ఇరువై మైళ్ళ దూరంలో ఉన్న ఈ మాల్యాద్రి పై భారతదేశంలో ప్రఖ్యాతి గాంచిన నవనారసింహుల లో ఒకరైన శ్రీ జ్వాలా నరసింహస్వామి తన దేవేరీ శ్రీ మహాలక్ష్మి తో కొలువైయండీ భక్తుల పాలిట కల్పతరువై ఉన్నారు. 

 

మాల్యాద్రి లక్ష్మి నరసింహ స్వామి దేవాలయం కందుకూరు - పామూరు రోడ్డు లో వలేటివారిపాలెం మండల పరిధి లో ఉండే ఈ ఆలయం ఉన్న కొండలు పూలమాల ఆకారం లో ఉండటం తో ఈ ప్రాంతానికి మాలకొండ ,మాల్యాద్రి అని పేరు వచ్చాయి . 

స్థల పురాణం : శ్రీ విష్ణువు శ్రీ మహాలక్ష్మి తో భూలోకం లో విహరించగోరి తన ' వనమాల ' ను పర్వతాకారం దాల్చామని కొరడని వనమాల "మాల్యాద్రి" గా వెలసిందనీ పురాణాగాధ ఉంది. అగస్త్య మహాముని ఈ మాల్యాద్రి పైన తపమాచరించగా లక్ష్మి నారసింహుడు జ్వాల రూపుడై దర్శనమిన్చ్చాదని ,జ్వాల నరసిమున్హి గ కొండ పైన వెలిసారు అని పురాణం గాథ . 

 

ప్రకృతి శోబకు నిలయమైన మాలకొండ ఏకశిలా నిర్మితం కావడం విశేషం . జ్వాల నరసింహుని పూజించిన మార్కండేయ ముని సమీపం లోని యేరు లో స్నానం ఆచరించారని అదే మార్కండేయ నది అని చెబుతారు . ఈ కొండ పై గల మరొక వింత శ్రీ మహాలక్ష్మి స్వామి వారి పై ప్రణయకోపం తో అలిగి కొండను పగులకొట్టుకొని కొండ శిఖరము పై కూర్చున్నదని పురాణ గాధలలో చెప్పబడినట్లే బ్రాంహందమైన కొండల నడుమ చీలిక ఈరుకైన మెల్లదారి. ఈ దారిలో ఎంతటి స్తులకాయులైననూ నడచి వెళ్ళగలిగే విధముగా నుందుటాయు భక్తులకు అద్భుతం గా తోస్తుంటుంది. ఒకే ఒక రాతి క్రింద ఏర్పడిన విశాలమైన గుహలో శివలింగం ప్రతిష్టించబడి " శివకెశవులు " ఓక్కరెనన్న అధ్యాత్మిక ఉన్నత భావనను కలిగిస్తుంది. శివాలయం దిగువున పార్వతిదేవి ఆలయమున్నది.

ఈ స్వామిని భూపతులేందరో సేవించినట్లు శాసనమూలున్నవి. విజయనగర ప్రభువగు అచ్యుత దేవారాయలు, రెడ్డిరాజులు, చండీ సంస్థానాధీసులు ఈ స్వామి వారిని సేవించి ధన్యులయిరి. వారు స్వామికి చేసిన సేవలన్నీయు శాసన రూపంలో ఉన్నవి. ఈ ఆలయం ప్రతి శనివారం మాత్రమే తెరువబడును. ఉదయం గం|| 6.00 ల నుండి సాయంత్రం గం|| 5.00 వరకు 

 

ప్రత్యేక కార్యక్రమాలు :- 

ప్రతిసంవత్సరం వైశాఖ శుద్ధ చతుర్దసి నాడు నరసింహజయంతి, కార్తీకమాసం, శ్రావణ మాసములలో భక్తులు అధిక సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొంటారు

వెళ్ళు మార్గం :- 

ఈ క్షేత్రానికి వెళ్ళేందుకు బస్సు ద్వారా ఒంగోలు నుండి 80 కి. మీ., కందుకూరు నుండి 35 కి. మీ., సింగరాయకొండ రేల్వే స్టేషన్ నుండి 40 కి. మీ ల లో ఉన్నది. 

 

Sri Malyadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devstanam located on the hills of Malyadri in Malakonda is a famous temple in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh. The presiding deity in this temple is Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy who is in the divine form Sri Jwala Narasimha Swamy and is seen along with His consort Sri Mahalakshmi Devi. Sri Jwala Narasimha Swamy is one of the Nava Narasimhas. He is holding Sudarshana Chakra on one hand, Sanku on the other hand. Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi is seated on His lap.

 

History of the Temple 

One day Sri sri mannarayana murthy was on Sesathalpam(Sesapanpu) and Sri Mahalakshmi was sitting near his foots on PalaSamudram(Milk Sea). He said to her if you have anything in your mind tell me, I will do it for you. She said with smile,” I got you as husband, that is outstanding for my life” but now there are less number of Divya Kshetras on earth so the devotees can not going to there because of expenses. The Devotees are facing problems without God’s Darshan so please make one Divya Kshetra for our devotees. 

The God accepted the Mahalakshmi request.The God said to Vanamala to make a wonderful Parvata(Hill) on earth so that Vanamala has changed as Malyadri(Malakonda). Here, different kinds of trees, different kinds of birds, and different kinds of animals are there. This Malyadri is having different shapes of big stones and hills.

The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is Lord of Malyadri(Malakonda). A large number of devotees visit the sacred shrine of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha to pay their homage to him. Here, Sri Jwla Narasimha and Sri Mahalakshmi Devi are on the Hill (Parvata) of Malyadri.He is one Narasimha of NavaNarasimhas (Nine Narasimhas). 

Sapta Teerdams (Seven Theerdams)

There are Seven Teerdams known as Sapta Theerdams on Malyadri. They are Narasimha Theerdam, Varuna Theerdam, Kapila Theerdam, Agasthya Theerdam, Sankara Theerdam, Jothi Theerdam, and Indra Theerdam.

How to Reach:

Different routes to reach kona, People from Andhra Pradesh surrounding areas can come to PenchalaKona by passing the places Rajampeta – Rapuru on the way. There is a bus facility from Rapuru to Penchalakona every half an hour. Distance around 30 Kilometers. People coming from Andhra Pradesh Vijayawada and Vizag should take the train route till Nellore. From Nellore, for every hour there will be a bus to Penchulakona. The distance is around 75 Kilometers. People coming from Andhra Pradesh Tirupati and surroundings can reach here via VenkataGiri and Rapuru. Distance from Tirupati is 115 Kilometers. People from Tamil Nadu Chennai and other southern parts can come till Guduru on train. From there they can come here by bus via Rapuru. Distance from Guduru is 65 Kilometers.

How To Reach :- 

There are three ways to reach the MALAKONDA • The East route is via kandukur and Lingasamudram from Singarayakonda,Prakasam [Dist]. • The West route is from PAMURU,Prakasam [Dist]. • The South route is via kaligiri and kondapuram from either Kavali,Nellore[Dist] or Nellore. There are three ways to reach the Temple (Sri Malyadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devastanam) from MALAKONDA. • One way is road way, the Devotees can go by vehicles.
